21st Century Skills
The 21st century skills are skills that require one to think about what they're learning and to question it and think about it creatively and critically. Student's need to have a basic understanding technology now to help them with their work and research. The students also need to be able to work collaboratively with others to accomplish a task. The last 21st century skill is to be prepared for the real world and be ready to be an active citizen. One way we can use the skill of creative thinking in this class is, if we learn about an important part of film, take sound for instance, then we can try to take what we learned and apply it to different ways in a film that was not conventional before. We are often going to use technology in this class to make our films, whether its for editing, filming, etc, we are going to need a great understanding of how to use that technology in order to make sure we get the best results. We are also going to be working with other students on projects, and if we can't work together then we won't be able to do anything and accomplish the task at hand.
